Lawson is a Baton Rouge native and lifelong LSU fan. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Political Science in 2018 and from the University of Houston Law Center in 2022. He always knew he wanted to go to law school from a very young age, in part because his name is “Lawson” and not “Medicalson”.
At the University of Houston, Lawson earned the highest grades in Legal Research, a Writing Seminar Course in Advance Topics, and Admiralty. He was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship and won Best Moot Court Team. While in law school, Lawson also held various leadership positions in multiple organizations.
Lawson’s practice focuses on employer and insurance defense in admiralty/maritime litigation. In his free time, Lawson enjoys trying new restaurants, hanging out with friends and family, and watching movies on the couch with his fiancé and standard poodle, Levi.
