Taylor L. Somerville is an associate attorney, practicing primarily in the areas of insurance defense, general liability, and insurance coverage. Prior to joining MMK, Taylor served as a Rule XX Student Practitioner at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office, where she second-chaired two felony jury trials and argued motions hearings.
Taylor graduated from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2020. During law school, she was a member of Moot Court and Trial Advocacy, where she served as an oralist for Loyola’s National Moot Court Team and as an oralist for Loyola’s American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy Team. Taylor is a recipient of the Harry Herman Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.
Prior to law school, Taylor graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family. In the summer, Taylor and her family enjoy their weekends boating on Lake Pontchartrain and the bayous of southeast Louisiana. In the fall, Taylor is an avid football fan, cheering on the LSU Tigers on Saturdays and the New Orleans Saints on Sundays.
